Erik Björn is a 28-year-old composer from Sweden and has in the last year written music for over 20 short films, some of which have been nominated and won awards at film festivals around Europe.

He has received excellent testimonies for these accomplishments, as well as praise from composer Gavin Greenaway (Gladiator, How To Train Your Dragon 2). He’s been told that his music captures the inexpressible, and William Hooper (Sound Department for Gladiator) said that it reminds him of the works of Thomas Newman, James Horner and James Newton Howard. Erik creates, according to Shannon Mills (Sound Department for Avengers: Endgame, Avatar), memorable themes and melodies that you remember and find yourself humming to, which he meant was the mark of a good composer.

“We contacted Erik to write music for our film and we got absolutely fantastic pieces that raised the scenes to a level far above our expectations. Erik is wonderfully musical, artful and has an ear for composing emotional music that hits straight into your soul. The music made our film not only magical, but also captivating and emotionally authentic.”

– Enoir Almarsoomi, Music Supervisor for the award-winning short film “Changed”

“Erik is a fantastic partner and you can’t find a better one. He is receptive and listens to your ideas, which he then translates into his own musical language. The tones he sets strengthen the feeling throughout the film and it’s hard not to feel it with your whole body.”

– Nayef Ghoul, Director and creator of the front movie “Al Ghorba (Homesickness)”

“Erik made absolutely fantastic music that enhanced the emotions and contributed to a better pace in the film. I am incredibly grateful for our collaboration.”

– Julia Ammouri, Director of the short film “Here, where dreams live”

“Erik’s music was straight out of Hollywood! With a wide range to choose from and a great sense for composing with different instruments, we were pleasantly surprised at how hard it was to decide what tracks we wanted to use, as we loved them all!”

– Amalia Winberg, Creator of the application “Over the Weather”

“Erik’s music helped us set a unique and magnificent atmosphere. He quickly delivers quality drafts with an incredible ability to collaborate. We are extremely satisfied with the result and can undoubtedly recommend him!”
